Picture courtesy of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology This animated image, taken every six hours from July 5, 1132 GMT to July 9, 2332 GMT, shows a front approaching Tasmania and splitting, with the northern portion traveling over northern Victoria. Once out, over the ocean, the cold moist air from the front joins up with warmer air associated with an upper level trough in the Tasman sea. Together they form a weak low pressure cell, which is forced to the south west by a blocking high south east of New Zealand.
